Season 1 of MultiVersus was supposed to arrive on August 9. However, the MultiVersus official Twitter page dropped some pretty disappointing news for their fans. The statement went on to explain that the start of Season 1 and the release of Morty will be pushed back to an unspecified date. As soon as they have determined a date for the release, they will be letting everyone know.

While this news is a little disappointing, we know that Season 1 will be released in due time and that they don’t want there to be any problems by releasing it earlier than it should. On a brighter note, there have been details related to the Season 1 Battle Pass that shed a little bit of light on what everyone can expect if they decide to purchase the Season 1 MultiVersus Battle Pass.

Cost, Tiers, and More!

Just like any other video game’s Battle Pass, you are going to have purchase Season 1 of the MultiVersus Battle Pass if you decide that you want it. Tony Huynh, MultiVersus Game Director, confirmed on Twitter that the cost of the Battle Pass for Season 1 will be 950 Gleamium. This equates to less than $10 in actual currency. Being that $10 gets you 1,000 of Gleamium, you can say that it costs around $9.50.

Tony Huynh also confirmed that there would also be 50 Tiers to try and collect as you progress through the Battle Pass. Since Season 1 of the Battle Pass was delayed to a later date, we don’t know too much more about what it will have to offer at this time. What we do know is that it will most likely be similar to the Preseason Battle Pass that is being offered in MultiVersus as we speak.

The Preseason Battle Pass only costs 300 Gleamium, but also only offers 15 Tiers to try and complete. Within these 15 Tiers, you can acquire character skins, profile icons, XP, coins, and other cosmetics. We can assume that with Season 1 of the Battle Pass gamers will be able to get similar items as that is what Battle Passes usually have to offer.

The Preseason Battle Pass was supposed to end on August 8, but because of the delay of Season 1, Player First Games have decided to extend the Preseason Battle Pass through August 15. If you haven’t gotten the opportunity to get your hands on MultiVersus yet, then I would suggest giving it a try. The game is free-to-play and is available on PlayStation consoles, Xbox consoles, and PC.
