How to get  Varunada Lazurite

You’ll earn this standard Hydro Ascension gemstone by defeating Hydro bosses, like the Hydro Hypostasis or Oceanid. The Hypostasis is the easier one to fight solo.

You can also craft these by converting the other Ascension gems with Dust of Azoth.

How to get Runic Fang

Runic Fangs are dropped by the Ruin Serpent, found deep in The Chasm. While imposing, the Ruin Serpent itself isn’t too difficult to take down. You’ll just need to make sure you have enough charges of Blooming Light to destroy the Oozing Concretions that will revive it when it’s slowing down.

Like other Ruin enemies, the Serpent resists Physical attacks.

How to get Recruit’s Insignia, Sergeant’s Insignia, Lieutenant’s Insignia

These are some of the faster materials to collect, since Fatui Skirmishers come in groups of two or three. Agents and Cicin Mages can also drop them, but you’ll primarily be searching for Skirmishers with your Handbook. Skirmishers tend to hang around ruins in Liyue and Dragonspine.

Skirmishers have their own Elements, and will create shields if you don’t defeat them fast enough. The shields are tough to break if you don’t have the right Element to exploit them, so be sure to inspect the enemy before you engage and adjust your team accordingly.

There are three kinds of Skirmishers: Bracers, Legionnaires and Vanguards. Bracers can be Pyro or Geo, Legionnaires are Hydro or Cryo and Vanguards can be Anemo or Electro.

Use Hydro against Pyro, Pyro against Cryo, Cryo against Electro and Electro against Hydro to break their shields. For the Geo enemies, you can use any claymore, Geo or explosive attack to break the Geo shield. The Anemo Skirmisher only has their shield up to set up a counter attack, so wait until they drop their barrier.

How to get Teachings of Prosperity, Guide to Prosperity, Philosophies of Prosperity

The Talent books you need for Yelan can be obtained at Taishan Mansion on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays.

For the first three levels of this Doman challenge, you’ll be fighting Pyro Slimes that explode and Pyro Abyss Mages. You’ll have six minutes to take out all the enemies.

For the hardest challenge, you fight against two Blazing Axe Mitachurls and two Fatui Pyro Agents. The Agent will be able to explode like the Slimes in earlier difficulties. You have eight minutes to defeat them all.

This challenge is made substantially easier in co-op, as your damage output will be at least doubled. Focus on making elemental reactions on the same enemy to get them out of the way before teaming up on the next one. If you have a Ganyu or Amber on your team, their Elemental Skills can draw the Fatui Agents’ aggro. The decoys are most useful for sponging up the Agent’s deadly dash attacks that can kill you if you’re not careful.

How to get Starconch

Starconch are easy to find. They’re scattered around the shores of Yaoguang Shoal and Guyun Stone Forest. You can just take a relaxing walk on the beach and you’ll be able to gather a ton of these.

How to get Gilded Scale

The Gilded Scale is one of the three drops from the weekly Azhdaha boss fight. Which of the three you get is random, so you might get a few or not any at all. Azhdaha is a tough boss to fight solo, so make sure you’ve got a good shield maker and healer to keep your party alive.

His attacks aren’t particularly difficult to see coming, but they have huge range and damage. It’s easy to die in just a few hits.

This fight is easier in co-op with one other player, as you both still need a dedicated shielder. It’s hard to keep everyone protected in parties of three or four.

How to get Crown of Insight

The very rare Crown of Insight is only available as a reward for completing events. You’ll need one to max out just one of a character’s Talents, but there are a limited amount of them. For more information about Crown of Insight, check out our in-depth look here.
