MLB The Show 22 is officially out now. It has felt like it has been forever since the last time we have experienced any sort of baseball because of the MLB lockout. Luckily, Spring Training is wrapping up, and Opening Day is scheduled to start on April 7. To get baseball fans hyped about this upcoming season, MLB The Show 22 was released on April 5, just two days before the 162-game MLB Regular Season gets underway. If you purchased the MLB The Show 22 MVP Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition, you got to play four days early staring on April 1.

Some of the most common questions that get asked when sports games come out are “What teams have the highest overall? What are the best teams you can use?” This year was no different as gamers have been asking those same questions. From the early stages of MLB The Show 22, there are five teams that have great rosters all around and make them five of the best teams that you are able to play as.

5. Chicago White Sox

The Chicago White Sox had a fantastic season last year, finishing the season with a record of 93-69. They were first in the A.L. Central and many Chicago fans thought that it was the White Sox year to win their first World Series since 2005. However, The Chicago White Sox were stopped dead in their tracks when they faced off against the Houston Astros and were defeated in the Division Series.

The White Sox will look back at 2021 as an experience builder and put their chemistry from last year and turn it into success for this season as they come into the MLB as one of the favorites to walk away with a World Series Championship.

They’ve got an incredibly balanced roster led by Yasmani Grandal, who is arguably one of the best catchers in baseball. He currently sits at a 94 overall. Catchers are one of the most important positions in baseball. They are the communicators to the pitchers, so having one of the best in baseball is a huge deal.

Not only do the Chicago White Sox have one of the best catchers, but they also have one of the best closers in the MLB as well. Liam Hendriks can be argued as the best closer in all of baseball. He has a 93 overall and is definitely going to help you close out games.

Hendriks and Grandal are just the tip of the iceberg. Abreu, Anderson, Robert, Lynn, Giolito, and even Kopech are all other big names on the White Sox roster that make them a force to be reckoned with and a top five team in MLB The Show 22.
