Elden Ring is full of hidden secrets and surprising bosses. Just when you think you’ve seen all there is in The Lands Between, you’ll probably discover something new to explore. Because the game does very little to hold your hand and guide you through The Lands Between, it could make things difficult for Trophy and Achievement hunters to 100% the game.

As you can see, a lot of the Trophies and Achievements for Elden Ring involve defeating a specific boss. While some of these will come naturally just be completing the main story, a lot of them will require you to go off the beaten path and explore some of the deepest, darkest corners of The Lands Between.

You’ll also notice that three of the Trophies and Achievements are tied to the ending of the game. Elden Ring has multiple endings and usually require a certain action or completed quest line to unlock. So far six have been discovered although only three will unlock a Trophy or Achievement.

The downside to this is that you can only experience one ending per playthrough, which means if you want to unlock all three endings, you’ll have to complete the main story three different times. Thankfully, Elden Ring’s main story isn’t too long as a lot of the bosses and areas are optional. There are also plenty of easy farming locations to ensure you’re a decent enough level to tackle some of the final bosses without having to go through all the side content.

That being said, some of the endings will require you complete a series of side quests. The Age of the Stars ending, for example, requires you to complete Ranni’s questline. While it’s not terribly hard, especially if you’re over-leveled, it is kind of long and time consuming. I recommend doing this ending as your main playthrough the first time around as you will also unlock additional trophies and achievements at the same time.  Plus, you’ll avoid having to fight the same boss again in a subsequent playthrough with no payoff since you’ll already have obtained the trophy or achievement. The most annoying ones are probably acquiring all the legendary armaments, ashen remains, sorceries and incantations, and talismans — simply because it’s time consuming.

The good news is that even after beating the main story, you can stay in the same Journey with your powerful character and go back and complete any leftover quests or bosses that you skipped. Because you’ll be over-leveled, these optional bosses are much easier to beat.

It’s possible to get all of the Trophies and Achievements (minus the different endings) in one playthrough, so there’s no reason to start a new Journey until you unlock them all. After that, you can either create a new character or continue with your current on on New Game+ and go for the remaining two endings.

I will say that some of the bosses are definitely hard to reach just because the world is so confusing and layered. I definitely recommend guides if you’re looking to complete these as quickly as possible. There were some bosses that I had no clue where they were or how to get to until I looked up a guide and I can safely say I probably never would’ve found them otherwise.
