Genshin Impact made huge “impact” at The Game Awards 2021, taking home the award for Best Mobile Game. To celebrate, miHoYo is giving out a whopping 1,600 Free Primogems to eligible players.

It’s no surprise to me that Genshin Impact would win best mobile game, as it’s more like a AAA RPG with a mobile port. Mobile is probably the worst way to play Genshin, but I won’t complain about celebration rewards.

This TGA win comes hot on the heels of the game’s PlayStation Partner Awards 2021 Grand Award victory. Genshin was also the first runner up in the Music Awards for the same show, beaten by Nier: Replicant. We already got 800 Primogems for that win, and this second wave of award celebrations is sure to delight players as Arataki Itto makes his entrance next week.

From December 11 to December 14, players above Adventure Rank 7 will get 400 Primogems in their mail each day for a total of 1,600. These can be claimed anytime before Version 2.3 ends in early January.

These are enough to go for one ten-pull in an Event or Normal banner, and is the largest amount of “Free-mogems” miHoYo has ever given out. The last time we saw something like this was the log-in event for Version 1.3’s Lantern Rite event, which awarded 10 Intertwined Fates and a choice of a Liyue four-star character.

We also got a slick sizzle reel for the game’s current version, featuring the upcoming Arataki Itto and Goro teaming up with Yoimiya and Kokomi to fight the Rift Hound. The end of the video also features a new character for Version 2.4: Yun Jin.

Curiously, Yun Jin isn’t the next update’s event five-star; she’s going to be featured on Shenhe’s banner as a new four-star. Her motif is that of a Chinese opera performer. If you’re lucky, you might just get Yun Jin with the 1,600 Primogems next update.
