The Xbox Series X is one of this year’s hottest electronic items. Here are some of the best deals you can find for the new console and its games.

Much like the PlayStation 5, Microsoft’s Xbox Series X is in high demand this holiday season. The new gaming console launched earlier this month and has been sold everywhere since. When new stock does arrive, it sells out in minutes. So if you’re looking for an Xbox Series X console this Black Friday, good luck.

Also like the PlayStation 5, because the Xbox Series X is new — and practically unavailable everywhere — there aren’t a whole lot of Black Friday discounts to be had. As I previously mentioned, there are no Xbox Series X or S discounts or bundles to be had this year. If you find one, you’ll be paying full price.

On that note, here are some of your best options for finding an Xbox Series X today.

Xbox Series X game discounts

Because of how Microsoft has positioned the Xbox Series X, there aren’t really any next-gen exclusive games. The whole thing with Xbox is that you can play games across the various console generations.

And, to be honest, there aren’t a whole lot of Xbox Series X exclusive titles available at launch. Halo Infinite, which was supposed to be the Xbox Series X’s blockbuster launch title, was pushed back to 2021. So the Xbox Series X launched without a whole lot to offer besides next-gen upgrades on Xbox One games.

So with that in mind, any game discounts you’ll find will be for the Xbox One. BUT, the Xbox One games are playable on the Xbox Series X. And in some cases, they get a boost from the next-gen hardware.

  • Kingdoms of Amalur Rereckoning ($19.99) – GameStop
  • Ori and the Will of the Wisps ($12.99) – Best Buy
  • Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order  ($24.99) – Target
  • Star Wars: Squadrons ($16.99) – GameStop
  • Assassin’ Creed Valhalla ($47.99) – GameStop

Most retailers are offering similar discounts on Xbox games throughout Black Friday with maybe a few bucks separating them. Again, all of the games listed above are playable on the Xbox Series X.

$20 off Wireless Controllers

If you’re in need of another controller, Best Buy, Walmart and the official Microsoft Store are offering $20 savings, bringing the cost to just $39.99. Target is only offering $10 off.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is, without a doubt, the best deal in gaming. For a monthly subscription fee, you can get access to over 100 playable games as well as Xbox Live Gold (which lets you play online), discounts on DLC and an EA Play membership (which provides access to a library of playable EA-published games).

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is an unrivaled service for gaming and one of the key perks to owning an Xbox. This Black Friday, you can get an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate three-month membership at a major discount. Here are the best deals:

There doesn’t appear to be a limit on how many of these three-month memberships you can buy so theoretically you could buy an entire year’s worth at 50% off. This is definitely the best Black Friday purchase of the year if you’re an Xbox owner.
