The Nintendo Switch is one of this year’s hottest gaming items. Will you be able to find one on Black Friday? Here are some potential retailers.

The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X may be the newest consoles on the market, but the Nintendo Switch, which is now three years old, remains one of the most in-demand systems this holiday season. Nintendo’s hybrid console has been sold out for much of the year, partly due to the pandemic increasing demand and partly due to its incredibly wonderful catalog of games.

If you’re looking to buy a Nintendo Switch this holiday season, particularly on Black Friday to take advantage of some of the holiday deals and bundles, you may have a difficult time finding one.

The most popular holiday deal this year is the $299.99 Nintendo Switch bundle that includes Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a three-month membership to Nintendo Online. It’s just about the only console bundle you’ll find this year — if you can actually find it.

The bundle is being sold at most major retailers, including Target, Best Buy, Amazon, GameStop and Walmart. The problem is the bundle is sold out everywhere. At Amazon, for instance, it’s sold out and now being listed by resellers for upwards of $475. Amazon previously had a January 2021 availability date for when the Switch would be back in stock.

More from Nintendo Switch

If you’re desperate for a Nintendo Switch this year, you might still be able to find the Nintendo Switch Lite in stock at some places. This is the cheaper alternative, available for just $199.99, but only supports handheld mode and is smaller than the standard Switch system with a 5.5″ touchscreen as opposed to the 6.2″ touchscreen. The Nintendo Switch Lite is meant to be played specifically as a handheld system so if you don’t mind being unable to hook it up to your television, you can still play some of the great games Nintendo has to offer on it.
