Call of Duty: Warzone: New map possibly teased for Season 4
Secret bunkers in the latest update to Call of Duty: Warzone have sparked speculation that Season 4 of the battle royale game could bring a new map.
Call of Duty: Warzone has been the greatest thing to happen to the Call of Duty franchise. The free-to-play battle royale spinoff has become one of the most popular games in recent months and Activision seems committed to expanding upon it.
With Warzone being on it’s third season already and set to end the first few days on June, it is time to speculate what Season 4 could bring us. One of the popular theories right now is a change of scenery.
In the latest Call of Duty: Warzone update was the addition of Red Access Keycards which has allowed players to open some of the 11 Bunkers that are hidden around the map. Each of the Bunkers are numbered. If you happen to make it over to Bunker 11 and unlock it using the secret code, you will see what looks to be like a nuke that is ready to go off somewhere in the future. The secret code consists of listening to different telephones around the map and going to different telephones in a secret order.

It seems to be that Battle Royale games tend to change the map after sometime in order to keep players from getting bored landing at the same old spots over and over again. Fortnite and Apex Legends, two of the most popular battle royale games right now, both experience map changes between seasons. What players have speculated is that with the start of Season 4 could come a nuclear explosion that’s going to cause catastrophic and permanent changes to Verdansk.
Call of Duty has always has some variation of nukes in its games. While nothing has been announced just yet, Infinity Ward doesn’t add things to their games for no reason. This nuke Easter Egg is definitely in the game for a reason, but we can’t confirm 100% what it is yet. There has been speculation that the new Call of Duty video game is going to be called Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and that this Easter Egg is leading up to that reveal of the new game.

Either way there is a lot going on here and a lot to wrap our heads around everything at once. It seems like Infinity Ward is planning major changes to Call of Duty: Warzone and is ready to make a huge announcement. For now we wait. Season 4 is right around the corner and is sure to be the biggest season the game has yet to offer.
