League of Legends: Wild Rift minimum iOS and Android specs

With Riot Games aiming to have League of Legends: Wild Rift on as many devices as possible, here are the targeted specs for launch.

Back in March, Riot Games released a brief development update on League of Legends: Wild Rift, the mobile- and console-focused version of the developer’s MOBA. Riot said they were “heads down at work” on Wild Rift, suggesting any future update wouldn’t come for at least a few months. Well, it seems they’ve made good progress.

Last week, Riot announced plans to kick off a “very limited alpha test” next month in Brazil and the Phillippines. We don’t have specific details but Riot also used to opportunity to talk a bit about the minimum specs required to play Wild Rift on mobile devices.

Since we’re presumably still a few months away from the final build, these specs are always changing, but here’s what Riot is hoping to support at launch:

  • 1.5GB RAM
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 10 processor
  • Adreno 306 GPU
  • 32-big Android processors

For iOS, Riot is aiming to have Wild Rift run on iOS 6 and above. While it’s a little higher than what was originally targeted, iOS 6 is still pretty old in terms of technology. I think that’s a pretty good compromise as to not compromise Wild Rift‘s core gameplay.

Riot also reminded eager fans not to download anything that isn’t officially put out by them and to keep a close eye on anything that looks suspicious. Most recently, a push notification went out saying the game is available which, of course, it isn’t yet. With that in mind, don’t download anything that claims to be League of Legends: Wild Rift.

Next: How League of Legends: Wild Rift champions will differ on mobile from PC

As previously detailed, the goal with Wild Rift is to keep the spirit and essence of the PC version of League of Legends. Champions will feel similar to their PC counterparts but will have their abilities slightly tweaked as to make it more mobile and console friendly. Overall though, it sounds like Wild Rift will by and large feel like the same game.
