PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS now available on Google Stadia

PUBG Corp. today announced the release of PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS on the Google Stadia gaming system – available to players immediately.
PUBG Corp. announced today that the pioneer Battle Royale title will now be available on Stadia, the new gaming system from Google. Players can find PUBG in the Stadia store, or sign up via Stadia.com to receive a two-month trial of Stadia Pro.
Cross-platform play allows for Stadia players to drop into the battlegrounds alongside those playing on XBOX and Playstation, adding more players into console queues across North America and Europe. Players on either of the three consoles are allowed to create cross-platform parties as well, so which console a friend has won’t stop you from squading up in PUBG.
Players throughout North America and in select European countries can begin playing PUBG on Stadia immediately. This means that recently-released Season 7, bolstered by its new Survivor Pass: Cold Front, the retouched map of Vikendi, and a variety of new items await Stadia players now.
"“PUBG pioneered the Battle Royale genre, and we’re excited to continue evolving and growing our audience with Stadia, the pioneer in cloud-based gaming,” said Ashley Youngsun Nam, Head of Console for PUBG Corporation. “With instant access to PUBG through Stadia Pro and access to cross-platform play, gamers have no excuse but to drop-in and land, loot, and survive in our iconic Battle Royale experience.”"
The announcement also comes with some new items to celebrate the release of PUBG on Stadia. Players who sign up for Stadia Pro will receive PUBG – Pioneer Edition, which can be upgraded to the Chicken Dinner Edition. Available options include:
- PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS ($29.99 USD)
- Base game
- PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS – Pioneer Edition (Free for Stadia Pro subscribers, or $39.99 USD)

- Survivor Pass: Cold Front

I consider this an excellent move by PUBG Corp. to take their game onto the Stadia store, allowing an entirely new community to enjoy PUBG. This is another step in the right direction for a game that hasn’t slowed in providing new content for the players.
