As of TFT patch 10.8, a team comp known as ‘egirls’ is one of the strongest in Teamfight Tactics, led by a Syndra carry with backup from Vel’Koz.

Teamfight Tactics is in an interesting place right now. With multiple galaxies twisting the rules, finding the perfect team comp can be a bit tricky. However, there’s one that currently stands above the rest in terms of consistency in TFT right now.

Known as “egirls,” the composition is basically 6 Star Guardians and 4 Sorcerers. Here’s what it looks like:

  • Zoe (Star Guardian / Sorcerer) – 1g
  • Poppy (Star Guardian / Vanguard) -1g
  • Ahri (Star Guardian / Sorcerer) – 2g
  • Neeko (Star Guardian / Protector) – 3g
  • Syndra (Star Guardian / Sorcerer)
  • Vel’Koz (Void / Sorcerer) – 4g
  • Soraka (Star Guardian / Mystic) – 4g

With this team comp you’ll get the 6 Star Guardian synergy; Whenever a Star Guardian casts a spell, an amount of mana  (60) is evenly distributed among all other Star Guardian. You’ll also get the 4 Sorcerer Synergy; all allies gain spell power (+45).

Syndra and Vel’Koz are your carries here. The key is to get Syndra Seraph’s Embrace (Tear of the Goddess x2) and Chalice of Favor (Negatron Cload + Tear of the Goddess). With these items, a two-star Syndra will wreak havoc on enemy teams, casting pretty much nonstop.

Vel’Koz is your backup carry, who could turn into your main if Syndra is contested. You’ll want Seraph’s Embrace and Morellonomicon (Needlessly Large Rod + Giants Belt).

In the eargly game, it’s pretty easy to get some good synergy going with three Star Guardians and two Sorcerers. You’ll want to keep Neeko in the front line and cotninue to run Star Guardians while saving gold and minimizing any damage. The key is to survive with as much HP as possible until you get all the proper items and two star Syndra. Once that happens, econ back to 50 and slow roll for Syndra and Neeko to three star. Alternatively, if Syndra is contested you could push to level 8 and grab Mystic and run Vel’Koz carry.

The other champion, you’ll want to prioritize is Neeko. Put defensive items such as Ionic Spark (Negatron Cloak + Needlessly Large Rod) and Guardian Angel (BF Sword + Chain Vest).

The set up once you have your comp in place is straight forward. Put all of your champions in the back row and Neeko up in the front. Syndra goes directly in the middle with Vel’Koz to her left and Soraka to her right. From left to right in the back row, it should go Zoe, Poppy, Vel’Koz, Syndra, Soraka and Ahri.

Admittedly, I’ve been pretty inconsistent since TFT patch 10.8 hit. However, I’ve yet to not place in the top four since playing the egirl comp. If it’s uncontested, you’ll easily place top two in a normal game. Alternative galaxies could change things.
