It is February, which means the release of Pokémon Home by KOTIOTA Studio awaits trainers everywhere for their opportunity to sync all of their prior Pokémon from prior games onto the recent game with Pokémon Sword and Shield. The long wait is over for trainers to include species of Pokémon with their new teams from the Galar region. The pricing for Pokémon Home is based on what kind of plan a player chooses to take advantage of when the app is available.

If a player chooses to move Pokémon from prior generation game files using Pokémon Bank, a player will have to pay for the Premium Plan to access Pokémon Home. Each Premium Plan will allow a player to transfer 6,000 Pokémon maximum to store. Trading Pokémon will also be featured via the Wonder Box and the return of the Global Trading Station (GTS). The Wonder Box will allow a player to trade up to ten Pokémon at a time randomly to another trainer that has a Pokémon Home Premium account. The return of the GTS allows Pokémon to be traded three species at a time versus it being done at one Pokémon at a time. These revolutionary trading functions are going to make collecting more efficient to Pokémon trainers everywhere.

The Premium Pass holder for Pokémon Home will also have access to the Judge function, which will decipher how a Pokémon is prepared for battling. This concept is beneficial for trainers to use if their hard work is paying off training Pokémon and seeing if they are building a strong enough team to use in competitions. The new function will be essential for new trainers who bring Pokémon from other functions and concepts of the game.

Pokémon Home will also allow players to transfer from Pokémon GO and the other Switch titles, Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee! Bringing Pokémon from the Let’s Go titles will be available immediately from the Kantonean remake; in addition, to bring even some featured Alolan Pokémon. Pokémon from the famous app Pokémon GO will not be available by the time of release but will be featured even further down the road.

According to the Pokémon Official Website, paid packages for Pokémon Home will start at $2.99 for one month, $4.99 for three months, and $15.99 for the annual year membership. In addition to any player that pays for the Premium Plan for Pokémon Home, any player that is using Pokémon Bank from the Nintendo 3DS and does not have an account for membership can use Bank for free. Pokémon Bank had a membership of $4.99 annually, but will now be featured for free for every Pokémon Home Premium Pass holder. Unfortunately, for any player that does not use the Premium Plan will be limited for the features available and will not have as much accessibility of a Premium Player.

Pokémon Home application will be available for the Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android smartphones. The mobile features of the phone will be the primary catalyst for trading and judging. In addition to those features, the mobile functions will include Mystery Gift, check battle data, and check the news online for new featured Pokémon that will be distributed for Pokémon Sword and Shield. Trainers will be more than thrilled for the concept of Pokémon Home to also feature the long-awaited National Dex to continue their Pokémon collecting from all saved game data.
