Xbox One new game releases for February 2020
It’s a quiet month for the Xbox one in terms of new game releases. Check out what’s coming in February 2020.
Hopefully, you’ve got a pretty deep backlog of games to play because February is slim pickings for the Xbox One in terms of new game releases. The early part of the year is typically a slow time for the industry, although January saw a few surprises like Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and Journey to the Savage Planet. In February, there’s not much.
The highlight is probably Bayonetta & Vanquish 10 Anniversary Bundle. This is a bundle featuring two of Platinum Games’ most beloved titles. Both games turn 10 this year and in celebration, Sega is putting them both together, on a single disc, remastered to run at 4K 60 FPS.
Bayonetta and Vanquish aren’t the only classic titles getting a re-release next month. The Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is arriving on February 25. This bundles all six Zero and ZX titles into one collection with new features and modernized mechanics, such as the new game mode Z Chaser, casual scenario mode and save-assist, screen filter (original design or smooth pixels) and layout (choose aspect ratio), gallery and music player.
Darksiders Genesis is a top-down hand-and-slash action RPG. It’s a prequel spinoff of the Darksiders series featuring Strife, the fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse. You are able to switch between Strife and his brother, War, at any time, or you can play with a buddy in a co-op mode. Darksiders Genesis was actually released for PC in December and received generally favorable reviews with a 77 Metascore on Metacritic.
An intriguing game if you enjoy the Netflix series is The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics. This is based on the Netflix series which is a prequel to the 1982 Jim Henson film.
- The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics – February 4
- Zombie Army 4: Dead War – February 4
- Darksiders Genesis – February 14
- Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle – February 18
- Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection – February 25
- Two Point Hospital – February 25
- One-Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows – February 28
Any games you’re interested in getting for Xbox One next month? If not, there’s always the free Games with Gold which, unfortunately, are also pretty lackluster for February.
