Destiny 2 guide: How to get the Bastion Exotic Fusion Rifle

Follow this guides to acquire the new Bastion Exotic Fusion Rifle by completing the Memento quest earned from the Corridors of Time in Destiny 2.

Over the weekend, Destiny 2 players banded together to finally complete the Corridors of Time puzzle that had been haunting them for a week. The completion led to a new quest, “Memento,” which grants the new Bastion Fusion Rifle upon completion.

If you’re interested in acquiring the new weapon, you’ll need to complete this quest. You can follow this guide for step-by-step directions. It should be noted that this quest does require the Season Pass for Year 3’s Season of Dawn.

Originally, the Bastion quest was going to be unlocked on January 28; however, completion of the Corridors of Time resulted it in becoming available a week earlier. As Bungie revealed, the Memento quest will be available for everyone — regardless of whether or not they completed the Corridors of Time puzzle — on the January 20 weekly reset. After that, all you have to do is talk to Saint-14 to pick up the quest.

Spoken Word – Defeat Fallen Captains and Servitors

The first portion of the quest asks you to gather five Fallen Intel, which you can farm for in The Empty Tank Lost Sector in the Tangled Shore. Defeat Servitors or Fallen Captains until you have collected all five Intels.

Lost Connection – Speak with Spider

This is pretty self explanatory. Once you have all five Intel collect, go and speak with Spider. While you’re here, pick up some bounties from Spider, but don’t turn them in immediately upon completion as they’ll be of use later on.

Backroom Brawl – Empty Tank Lost Sector

Spider wills end . you to the Empty Tank Lost Sector to kill an enemy named Aksiniks, Bound by Honor. Head to Thieves’ Landing and make your way through until the final room. Aksiniks will appear behind you and try to kill you. Once you kill Aksiniks, head back to Spider.

A Strong Arm – Tangled Shore

This next part is a bit of a grind. You must complete 10 Spider bounties, defeat 30 Challenging enemies and complete eight Public Events or four Heroic Public Events. Hopefully, you’ve completed some of those previous Spider bounties you should have picked up.

Rude Awakening – Trapper’s Cave Lost Sector

Head to Four-Horn Gulch in Tangled Shore and enter the Lost Sector, Trapper’s Cave. Near the waterfall, you should see a faint glowing light; inspect this object.

Altered Chief – The Hollowed Lair

You’ll now have to complete The Hollowed Lair, Memento Strike. Specifically, you need to kill an enemy called Reysk, the Waning Light.

Once you’ve killed Reysk, return to Saint-14 and you’ll receive the Bastion Exotic Fusion Rifle.
