Stardew Valley 1.4 update: 14 Heart event walkthrough for every spouse

Admittedly, Haley isn’t very likable at first, but that’s because she was so dang judgemental. That eventually changed as you got to know her and she eventually finds joy in photography and helping her.

So what has she been up to? You can reach 14 hearts with Haley by giving her Coconut, Fruit Salad, Pink Cake or Sunflower.

When you reach 14 hearts, head into town on a Monday around 10:00 a.m. Haley will overhear Penny’s conversation with schoolchildren talking about their books being old. Unfortunately, there isn’t any money to buy new ones.

When you return home, Penny tells you about her idea to host a charity cake-walk. She explains:

"It’s kind of like musical chairs, but everyone wins and gets cake. You’ll see… It’ll be on the next sunny day in the town square. Um… would you mind bringing a chocolate cake?"

To complete the Cake-Walk event, you need to get a Chocolate Cake. There are multiple ways to go about doing this:

• Make it yourself with the recipe learned on The Queen of Sauce (14 winter, Year 1)
• Purchase from Krobus’ Shop on Saturdays
• Purchase from Stardrop Saloon

Once you’ve acquired the cake, simply have it in your inventory and head into town. The townsfolk are participating in the Cake-Walk. The event ends up raising 5,000G which will be used to purchase the children new school books.
