The legendary Michael Vick is back, returning to Madden 20 Ultimate Team. But not everybody is happy to see him again.

Michael Vick revolutionized the quarterback position with his insane ability to make plays with his feet. His speed led to him becoming one of the most legendary and unfair sports video game athletes of all time. The cover star of Madden back in 2004, he was virtually unstoppable in the game that year.

Well, guess what? The “Human Cheat Code” has returned to Madden. As announced today by EA, legendary quarterback Michael Vick has been added to Madden 20 Ultimate Team.

Once again, it looks like Vick will give opposing defenses all sorts of fits as he boasts a blazing 88 speed. And if you try to stop him on the ground, he’ll likely torch you through the air with 92 throw power and 91 throw on the run. The only player who can beat Michael Vick it seems is himself as his mid-throw accuracy is just 83. His short-throw accuracy is 85 and his deep throw accuracy is 86. But something tells me players aren’t going to be using him for his ability to throw the ball.

While the Atlanta Falcons official Twitter account welcomed Vick back to Madden, not everyone was happy with his return. EA’s announcement was met with some pretty harsh reaction, and not because of his past history with dogfighting.

“There goes QB diversity,” one user wrote in response, referring to the fact that just about everyone will be using Michael Vick if they can get him. “Time to see him every game for the rest of the year,” another user wrote in agreement.

“Oh great. Now everyone with absolutely no skill will be running stupid crazy with Vick and getting wins they don’t deserve,” another comment reads.

The responses go on and on with most players seemingly in agreement that Michael Vick is about to break the game.

A number of players are also concerned about the potential for him to have the Escape Artist X-Factor Ability, which essentially makes him ” faster and more responsive to user input while scrambling behind the line of scrimmage.” Just a few quarterbacks possess this X-Factor ability, Patrick Mahomes being one of them.

In an update on EA’s forums, the Madden Ultimate Team devs issued a response regarding Power Ups in relation to Tier 3 and X-Factor Abilities.

"“Our design philosophy at the beginning of the year when it involved X-Factors and Superstar Abilities for Power Ups was that you could not just use Training to unlock Tier 3 Ability Slots and X-Factors. In order to activate Tier 3 Ability Slots and X-Factors Abilities, you would need to use the appropriate item to complete the upgrade.”"

Combined with his speed, Michael Vick with Escape Artist sounds unstoppable.

As of this writing, Michael Vick is now available in Madden 20‘s Ultimate Team with EA indicating he will likely also be added to the new Superstar KO mode.
