A new Clash of Clans update is coming, possibly as early as the end of February, and Supercell Games has given us a sneak peek at some QoL improvements.

It has been two months since Supercell released the last major update for Clash of Clans, but it seems the developer is gearing up to release another one soon.

Taking to the game’s official Reddit, Clash of Clans community manager Darian revealed some quality of life improvements the developer is working on for the next update. It seems the update is still a bit away, but Supercell does at least have a few confirmed improvements it will bring.

Among the improvements that’ll make your life easier is a feature that will automatically reload your X-Bows, Inferno Towers and Eagle Artillery for free when you log back into the game. Traps (Springs Traps, Bombs, etc.) will also re-arm for free.

In an effort to de-clutter the Clan Castle menu, the Magic Item UI has been moved to the Town Hall.

Finally, the last confirmed QoL improvement is the ability for Clan Leaders and Co-Leaders to delete donated troops from other Clan Members’ War Clan Castles.

If you recall, Supercell introduced the December 2018 update in a similar fashion, starting off by revealing some smaller quality of life improvements. The developer then went on to unveil some larger, game-changing features including the Ice Golem troop, Bat SpellStone Slammer Siege Machine and more.

It sounds like Supercell is doing the same with this update, as Darian promised more details when they start discussing “the core” of the update. We don’t know when that’ll be just yet; it could be anytime between a few days to a few weeks.

For now, though, these quality of life improvements are a much-welcomed start to what looks like a promising new update for Clash of Clans. As the phrasing suggests, these improvements aren’t anything major. As quality of life improvements, they address some player annoyances and create an overall better game experience.

Not having to reload all of my defensive buildings and traps is an incredibly exciting change, even though it may not be as flash as a new troop or something. But don’t worry, I’m sure that’s coming as well when Supercell starts to reveal the meat of the update.

It’s wonderful to see Supercell listening to player feedback. Even now, they are encouraging players to offer feedback on what changes they would like to see. Listening to player recommendations and feedback is key to a healthy game and it’s probably a big reason Clash of Clans remains one of the most popular games in the mobile space.

Supercell hasn’t announced when the next update for Clash of Clans will arrive, but it could be anywhere from the end of February through March. In any case, we’ll be sure to keep you updated with any new announcements.
