The Road to Wrestlemania is the most exciting time of the year in pro wrestling, and WWE Supercard is cranking up the heat. If you're not familiar, Supercard is a game that allows players to build and train their own stable of WWE champions.
WWE just had the Royal Rumble, one of its biggest shows of the year. To celebrate, Supercard released Royal Rumble 25 rarity cards and brought back the fan favorite event Block Bash. It's a 3-on-3 street fight that requires some Cerebral Assassin level strategy to go along with all the punching and stomping.
Players have to decide when to go for finishers, and if they can take on one more fight or need to heal themselves up first. When a superstar is knocked out, the team that eliminated them gets a boost to their power, health, or Supermove meter. The first team to knock out two of the opposing players wins. There are milestone rewards as well as some cool rewards for doing well on the game's leaderboard. So make like Macho Man Randy Savage and show them you are the tip-top, cream of the crop, oh yeah!
In addition to managing health and supermove status, this year there is a skill tree to help strengthen your cards. Each time you complete quest objectives, you earn Skill Tree tokens. They offer offensive, defensive, and supermove rewards.
The offensive tree will give players more critical damage, critical hit value, and damage increase. For you Ultimate Warriors out there that are all gas, no brakes, this is your skill tree. The defense tree grants bonuses to guard chance, guard value, and second wind, which is the amount of health recovered after an attack. It also has offerings that increase all your cards base health.
The supermove tree can help you charge your finisher faster, lower its energy cost, and give it some special abilities. Because as Shawn Michaels would tell you, it's not enough to kick their head off their neck. You gotta look good while doing it.
