Oh hell yeah! WWE 2K26 has made at least one rumor official. We're getting an Attitude Era themed edition of the game. The official WWE Games X account has revealed the news, and the cover for the special edition:

Look at those legends, folks! Stone Cold, Degeneration X, Trish Stratus, and Lita.. this is gonna be epic. One of the reasons I was so excited when Take-Two claimed the WWE license was how well their games handle history. They've taken us to the Wild, Wild West, the origins of the Mafia in Italy, and now the Attitude Era.
The Attitude Era was a wild time to be a wrestling fan. WWE pushed the boundaries of what could be done on television, generating buzz that had people watching even if they didn't care about wrestling. We saw the rise of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who would become one of the best characters in sports entertainment history. Degeneration X made juvenile antics into an art form.
To be clear, not all of its content aged well. Stuff like Bra N' Panty matches should absolutely be left in the late 90s. But the WWE as we know it today wouldn't exist without the Attitude Era. Heck, WCW would have put them out of business without it. I can't wait to see what WWE 2K26 does with it.
After the debacle that was WWE 2K20 forced them to blow them everything up and start from scratch, WWE games have had a huge renaissance. To quote Sheamus, they've been delivering banger after banger. Everything we've heard so far sounds like WWE 2K26 will keep up the trend.
