WWE 2K26 had a new Ringside Report today, sharing some details on the new match types coming to this year's game.

Dumpster Match

"The dumpster match is exactly what it sounds like," Wade Barrett said. "Beat your opponent down, toss them in the dumpster with the rest of the rubbish, and slam the lid. A fitting end, and frankly, it's where some of the WWE roster belongs anyway."

I Quit Match

"The goal isn't just to win, it's to break your opponent," Barrett said. This may come from a submission or just from beating them until they can't take any more. WWE vets may remember this was how John Cena ended his classic tilt with the "Wrestling God" John Bradshaw Layfield. JBL quit to prevent Cena from bashing him upside the head with a metal pipe. In-game, it looks like you'll have to play a wheel mini-game to prevent your wrestler from saying these match-ending words.

Some of the clips in this video include a submission applied using a steel chair for leverage and the classic spot of a kendo stick used to choke someone out.

Three Stages of Hell

Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre just delivered an epic match of this type on Smackdown recently. Players will pick three separate match types and whoever wins two out of three will emerge victorious. Types include Steel Cage, Ambulance, and of course, Normal, but why would anyone pick that one?

Inferno Match

Cue robotic Kane voice. If I don't win this match, I will set myself - ON FIRE! The Inferno match returns to the series for the first time since WWE 2K14. The bigger the moves applied, the higher the flames around the ring go. When they get to their highest point, you'll be able to set your opponent ablaze.

WWE 2K26 releases March 13, with early access starting March 6.
