"Macho Man" Randy Savage is one of the first names people from my generation will think of when they hear the term pro wrestler. His colorful outfits, cool catchphrases and larger than life presence helped define the era in WWE and WCW.
In this challenge, I'll be getting one online ranked win with each character in WWE 2K25. If anybody around here has ever e-wrestled (yes, super nerd check) Savage would probably be described as an aerially skilled brawler. You'll be pummeling your opponent with strikes and grapples to stun them long enough to hit the good old flying elbow. And you'll want them to be stunned, or else the finisher can become a high-risk, no-reward kind of move. That said, in this video, there was an opportunity for me to land a flying elbow outside the ring, and I had to go for it.
Savage's surprising agility for a brawler also includes the ability to roll away instead of dodging damage. It's really hard to nail him with an attack, which can frustrate enemies. Dare I say he's too hot to handle, too cold to hold, yeah!
Savage comes equipped with some dirty tricks, such as an eye rake, and there's no reason not to use them. WWE 2K25 allows you to work as a face, a heel, or mix in both tactics, provided the referee isn't watching. One of the most common tactics online is to untie the turnbuckle padding. The ref will at some point go fix that, and you can use dirty moves such as a low blow or poison mist with no penalty.
