Think you’ve mastered the harsh world of Once Human? Think again. The game that once offered the co-operative comfort of PvE has now put in a game mode that tests your survival skills. With update 1.61, developer Starry Studio introduced RaidZone, a brand-new PvP mode that first hit early access on May 22 before fully launching on PC on August 5,

But here’s the real kicker. RaidZone isn’t just any other PvP game mode. It has its completely different progression system and rules from the base game. To put it simply, it’s survival of the fittest now. So before you jump into this ruthless experience, there are some things you should consider.

Everything to know about Once Human: RaidZone

According to the Starry Studio, "In the RaidZone, chaos reigns supreme, and survival is everything." This aptly describes what the game mode has to offer. Infusing elements of battle royale along with survival games, every resource in RaidZone must be acquired from other players. And to make things fair, every player starts as equals with no external gear.

They must gather all the resources from their surroundings while battling other players. And there are a variety of weapons up for grabs. Bows, axes, sniper rifles, shotguns - you name it the mode has it. Furthermore, players can customize their weapons (and armor) with accessories to better help them on the battlefield.

While all things above may make it sound like just another battle royale game, this mode also has aspects of survival games to offer. Players are free to establish bases anywhere on the map. They can plant traps and defenses to guard their bases from enemies. And guarding your base must be your top priority.

Starry Studio has also added Deviations in this PvP game mode. For the uninitiated, they are mystical beings that offer rare resources which can be used to unlock perks, such as tracking enemies, scanning the map, or calling in devastating airstrikes.

While I can go on and on about so much this game has to offer, it only can be best experienced by jumping into a lobby. And you should be prepared for one thing - chaos.
