It was with tears of grimdark joy last month that I told you about a remaster of the now classic shooter Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine. Sadly, somebody may get sent into exile for the PC version, which is so buggy that Sega is offering refunds to anyone who bought it. You've got until July 10, so run, do not walk, to get your money back on that one.
The Xbox Series X/S version isn't smoking too good either, as a major bug has been eating players' save files. This is why we follow up stories, as sometimes the thing we were all happy about when it was announced becomes a thing we hate.
Warhammer 40K: Space Marine Master Crafted Edition is not yet available on PlayStation 5, and this time Sony dodged a big ol bullet that probably has a mixture of acid and hot lava in it. Space Marines are not subtle types.
If you're going to buy a version of the game, it sounds like 2021's Anniversary Edition is a much, much better idea. If you have any love of Warhammer 40K, you have probably already played this game. Even so, you're probably thinking about playing it right now.
I'm of the theory that Warhammer video games are no longer developed, but have actually formed reproductive capabilities and can replicate without any humans needing to be involved in the process. Because there are so many and most of them are bland, the really good ones standout that much more.
I don't think you even need to love, or necessarily like the Warhammer universe. It's just an incredibly fun game. Let's say you are a Warhammer aficionado who hasn't played it, because it is from 2011. You literally may not have been born yet. Play it, you'll thank your old Site Expert.
