No. 2 - Taste of Hope
Speaking of the Myreque quest series, we have an Experienced quest that should take Sins of the Father’s place among Master quests in Taste of Hope.
Taste of Hope’s difficulty is by no means ground-breaking, but we’re not arguing that it should be a Grandmaster quest, either. The boss fight against Ranis Drakan is undoubtedly more challenging than the battles in many of the other quests that are listed as Master quests.
It is exactly what you’d expect from a relatively difficult newer quest, one which is the prerequisite to the aforementioned Sins of the Father barnburner.
The fight against Ranis isn’t nearly as complex as the fight against Vanstrom, but it’s still enough to move this quest up a tier. And it’s still mechanically challenging enough to justify becoming replayable, even though it is already technically replayable via Quest Speedrunning as well.
Darkness of Hallowvale is this quest’s prerequisite and is appropriately classified as an Experienced quest. Yet that quest involves no real combat, which is perhaps the most obvious outside indicator that Taste of Hope is underrated.
