No. 2 - Recipe for Disaster

Recipe for Disaster was the 100th RuneScape quest ever released, and it is split up into 10 subquests. Like with Legends’ Quest as the 50th, Jagex wanted to make this one special – and it is the only quest classified using the “Special” difficulty.

But if its difficulty were actually rated, it would undoubtedly be a Master quest. This one is also one many players like to get done as soon as possible, given the fact that completion unlocks the powerful hybrid Barrows Gloves. But doing so requires so many other quests, not just the subquests, to be completed first.

The subquests aren’t all challenging, though believe it or not, the Black Dragon in Freeing Sir Amik Varze was actually the highest level quest boss in the game at one point.

But the final boss encounter is unique in that the first five of six bosses are effectively modified versions of bosses from prerequisite quests. Not being able to use prayer during any of the six fights makes it that much more challenging, even if you can bank between bosses.
