The four regional champions all fell to the losers' bracket, leading to four of them facing off against each other.

The China champions, Xi Lai Gaming (XLG), would face the Americas champions G2 Esports, while the Pacific Champs Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) would face FNATIC, the EMEA Champs.

The EMEA and Americas champs have never faced their Asian counterparts before so theyhave no history against one another.

The first match would be G2 Esports vs XLG and it was be no contest between the two champs as G2 would obliterate the champions from China.

The first map was Icebox and the Americas champions would dominate 13-3.

G2 Leaf was the map MVP of Icebox with 22 Kills, 5 Deaths and two assists.

Map two played out little differently with XLG winning 8 rounds, but it wouldn’t be enough as the samurai of North America continued strong, winning 13-8.

Leaf again was map MVP and would also be match MVP with a total of 42 Kills, 17 Deaths, and 8 Assists.

Xi Lai Gaming was eliminated from the tournament, leaving Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) as the last champion from Asia in the tournament.

RRQ took on FNATIC as the second match and it would be another three-map series for the European team.

On the first map, Lotus, FNATIC and Kaajak would dominate the map, winning 13-5, with Kaajak having 21 Kills, 11 Deaths ,and 5 Assists.

Map two would be RRQ’s revenge map, Haven and they would dominate during the first half with a lead of 10-2 with Jemkin of RRQ 18 Kills, 4 Deaths and a single assists.

RRQ took Map 2 and Jemkin was Map MVP with 19 Kills, 11 Deaths and a single assist.

Ascent was the decider map, and with both teams on the edge of the cliff of elimination, one team dominated.

FNATIC took over, dominantly winning map three, they would go 9-3 in the first half, but the curse wouldn’t happen as they would close out the map 13-5 and win the match 2-1.

Kayak was match MVP with 51 Kills, 36 Deaths and 11 Assists.

G2 and FNATIC would keep their playoff dreams alive and would face the losers of the upper semifinal matches.
