With the Game Awards last month, you may remember the viral sensation referred to as the "Flute Guy" that showed a musician during the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 musical segment, a figure first seen in the 2022 show.
But who is this guy beyond the amusing transitions between various flute and wind instruments?
Well, the answer is that his name is Pedro Eustache, a Venezuelan flutist (which, for reference, is pronounced "floutist" and not "flute-ist"; a very important distinction in the music community). He has a wide range of music credits, listing over 100 different music-based projects on his IMBD. From movies like How To Train Your Dragon, all the way to games like World of Warcraft, he has been in many projects, often coming as a soloist with an impressive background in a variety of woodwind instruments.
Eustache's collection of instrumental proficiencies are highly impressive. He knows how to play a number of different flutes (and there are quite a lot) and other woodwind instruments such as clarinets, saxophones, and flute-inspired instruments custom made for his own play and skill.
