Not even Skynet can defeat the pitfalls of the current United States economy. Terminator 2D: No Fate is an awesome-looking game in the vein of Contra and its brethen. Unfortunately, it has been delayed to economic uncertainty in the face of the current US tariffs.
The publisher announced and explained the delay on its website:
Hi everyone,
We wanted to share an important update on the release of Terminator 2D: NO FATE. The game will now launch on November 26, 2025.
This adjustment is due to ongoing global trade and tariff changes that delayed shipment of the components for our Day One and Collector’s Editions. Because we are committed to launching all editions together, this new date applies to both physical and digital releases worldwide.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding, and we’re sorry for this further delay. The team is working hard to make sure your wait is worth it, and we can’t wait to share
Terminator 2D: NO FATE with you all this November.
Sincerely,
Reef Entertainment
I can't wait to play this title whenever it comes out. Terminator and 2D shooters are two 90s-era tastes that taste great together. Developer Bitmap Bureau specializes in these games, having delivered the Aliens-inspired Xeno Crisis and Battle Axe, for lovers of games such as Golden Axe and Gauntlet.
But this one isn't just a homage, it has the for real Terminator license. And because Terminator games don't exactly have the best history, it has a chance to be one of the franchise's best. That is, is the United States' economic climate ever lets us play it.
