Switch 2 title NBA Bounce makes basketball cute

What's more fun than basketball? Arcade basketball, as evidenced by the likes of NBA Street and the legendary NBA Jam. Developer Outright Games says they got next with NBA Bounce, a title that makes arcade b-ball adorable.

NBA Bounce was one of the many titles unveiled at today's Nintendo Direct. It's a family-friendly offering that touts play for any age level. Up to four players can join in the fun in 3vs3 matches, and the NBA's numerous mascots are also playable in their cutest forms possible.

There's also a party mode with special effects such, a ball that shocks players with electricity. Other modes include training, and full season. All 30 NBA teams are licensed in the game, but there are no actual pro NBA players.

"Collaborating with the NBA, an association with such an important legacy and wide reach into other genres of entertainment, marks a new milestone for Outright Games as the first sports organization we have worked with," Stephanie Malham, Outright Games Managing Director, said . "For 'NBA Bounce', it is a privilege for us to bring our expertise in creating playable games for younger players to foster a love of basketball, sports, and sports video games to the next generation of fans."

It releases September 26 for a price of $49.99. It's also coming to the PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S , and PC. Nintendo's console may be the sweet spot, however, as this feels like a first NBA title experience for a younger crowd that would be turned off by the complexity of NBA 2K.
