Steam's business model is drowning us in sales. They understand that we'll buy something we never planned to, or the thing we've been waiting to buy provided they hit us with those four little letters: sale. This week the Steam Sports Fest is your jam for games with bats, balls, and yes, even swords.

Now through December 15, the Steam Sports Fest celebrates all the games that give 110 percent, even though I'm pretty sure that is mathematically impossible. But then, I'm told you miss 100 percent of the shots you don't take. A coach taught me math as a kid: I'm starting to see why I have so many problems with it now.

One of the demos you can tackle (see what I did there) is eSports Manager 2026. It allows you to manage real world eSports orgs including EternalFire, Copenhagen Wolves, M80, and GamerLegion, and work with the likes of @neLendirekt, @BanKsEsports, and, @teddcs.

This demo will let access about 70 percent of the game's systems, including scouting, contract talks, and team building.

“Our goal is to capture what really happens behind the scenes in esports: the pressure, strategy, conversations, and the tough calls that define a season,” Neurona Games CEO Andril Chupyr said. “The demo gives players a genuine taste of that experience, and we can’t wait to see the organizations they build–or blow up.”

Coach Brian's Picks

Super Mega Baseball 4 - $4.99

This one has an arcade soul, but real baseball strategy under the hood. As a veteran of this game and MLB The Show, I believe batters in Super Mega Baseball are harder to fool after multiple innings. The title also features a good mix of original players (with wonderfully punny names such as Rhonda Horne) and real MLB superstars including Nolan Ryan. For less than the price of a value meal, you can't go wrong here.

Tape to Tape - $14.99

How do you feel about a hockey roguelite? If your answer is in any way positive, know that this effort has a very positive rating after more than 2,500 reviews. Can you lead this ragtag bunch of ruffians to the title?

WWE 2K25 - $19.99

2K keeps bringing us the best of wrestling, reaching all the way from the days of Bruno Sammartino to the Tribal Chief himself, Roman Reigns. This year's showcase challenges you to rewrite history, avenging the biggest losses in the Bloodline's history.
