Yes, I spend this and many other Black Fridays saving money on games that I am putting on a pile I will never actually get around to playing. But dang it, I'm saving money or so I tell myself. Steam, the absolute legends of selling you stacks of cheap games you'll never get to, has entered the chat.

For the first time ever, Steam is doing the Black Friday tradition of a week-long sale, starting today and running through Dec. 1. It's not just on games, either. The Steam Deck's 256 GB option is 20 percent off, or $319.

Games on sale include $10 off freshly launched and hugely successful Battlefield 6, GOTY candidate Blue Prince for just $20, and Dying Light: The Beast for $45. BF 6 has a free trial on all platforms this week, so you can try it and purchase at the discounted price if you decide you like it. Here are some other App Trigger picks to get the best bang for your buck:

Split Fiction - $40

EA Sports FC 26 - $30

Tron Catalyst - $17

If you'd like to know a little more about Tron: Catalyst and the story behind it, our Keith Langston has an excellent interview with its creator Mike Bithell right here.

Doom: The Dark Ages - $35

Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut - $35

Age of Wonders 4 - $25
