The Helldivers franchise is heavily influenced by the universe laid out in Starship Troopers. Completing the circle, now we're getting licensed Starship Troopers games influenced by the chaotic, satirical fun of Helldivers. Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War is a retro FPS that couldn't be any more 90s if it were doing the Macarena while binge-watching Martin while eating Double-Decker tacos.
It brings a tear to my eye to see Casper Van Dien hamming it up as the now General Johnny Rico, and obviously having a blast doing it. The description of this game laud's "humanity's noble efforts to save the galaxy."

It wouldn't be a Starship Troopers experience if you didn't have a completely insane amount of guns at your disposal. The Federation will hook you up with over 30 weapons, including the Morita rifle and tactical nukes, to bring some serious pain to the bug menace.
The game will also feature a brand new original story in the beloved sci-fi universe featuring Rico, Major Samantha Dietz, you, and a whole bunch of grunts who are about to die horribly. We don't have a release date yet, but App Trigger will keep you posted. Remember, service guarantees citizenship.
