Star Wars Celebration Japan is going on right now, revealing all the exciting upcoming projects in the massive galaxy. That doesn't just include all the TV shows and movie efforts, but a bunch of video game awesomeness. Star Wars Outlaws got lost in the 2024 gaming shuffle, and it didn't deserve that. Ubisoft is still giving the game love with an upcoming DLC and a three-hour demo now available on all platforms.

On May 15, the story DLC A Pirate's Fortune will see Outlaws' protagonist Kay Vess team with Hondo Ohnaka, a character fans might know from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. They'll battle Stinger Tash and do just a wee bit of smuggling in search of the Tomb of Kephi. You'll also get some sweet upgrades for your freighter, the Trailblazer. I haven't played the game yet. However, I'm betting the Trailblazer doesn't look like much, but she's got it where it counts. Here's the trailer for the new DLC:

The DLC is free for Season Pass holders, $14.99 for everyone else. Players need to complete the main quest before embarking on this adventure, which looks like a whole lot of fun.

Outlaws didn't meet Ubisoft's lofty sales goals, but reviews for Kay Vess' adventure were positive. Hoping a few more players are ready to dive in, Ubisoft is dropping a three-hour demo on all platforms. It also announced Outlaws will arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2 coming September 5.

It's a small bite of the game's main campaign, but be warned your progress will not transfer over should you purchase the main offering. But three hours is likely enough for you to know whether you'd like to spend more time in this corner of the galaxy.

It's great to see that Ubisoft is continuing to support this game, even though it didn't set the universe on fire at launch.
