As a second-generation Trekkie, I have been eagerly awaiting the release of Star Trek Voyager: Across the Unknown, a title that will put players in Capt. Janeway's often uncomfortable chair. Now Daedalic Entertainment has announced when we depart for the Delta Quadrant.

Across The Unknown releases February 18 for PlayStation 5. Xbox Series X/S, and yes, Nintendo Switch 2. In this game, you make the critical decisions that will hopefully keep your crewmembers alive. One of the choices they have revealed is perhaps Voyager's most infamous moral debate. You decide whether to leave Tuvix, the accidental transporter fusion of Tuvok and Neelix, intact.

There's a demo available that has been on Steam for a while. It's now joined by demos on PS5 and Xbox, and it has incorporated some player suggestions from the PC faithful.

"Following the demo release, we’ve taken lots of valuable player feedback on board," Daniel Bernard, gameXcite Game Director, said. "This valuable input allows us to refine core gameplay systems even further, polish localization, and add meaningful details – ensuring the journey through the Delta Quadrant will shine when the game launches in early 2026."

There will also be a deluxe edition that includes new missions, more recruitable heroes, and powerful Delta Quadrant technologies. The expanded content integrates right into the campaign and will grant numerous new tactics and decisions for first-time and returning starship captains.

“Matching the spirit of Starfleet, we want to bring this adventure to as many of you as possible on day one," said Jonas Hüsges, COO of Daedalic. "The additional time allows us to synchronize all platforms, including the newly added Nintendo Switch 2 version, and improve the game on all levels. A unified launch is the right call for a story about a crew that survives by sticking together. We’re excited to give fans the best possible voyage home.”
