The ID@Xbox Fall Showcase is happening today, and of course something would be revealed and shadow dropped. Superball is a hero-shooter with a sports theme, or is a sports game with a hero shooter in it? In any case, it's now available on PC and Xbox Game Pass.
"After years of iteration, sleepless nights, and many Chongqing hot summers, our team at Pathea is thrilled to finally bring Superball to players,” lead producer Guo Yuheng said.“We’re incredibly grateful to our community for their patience and for sticking with us on this journey. What started as a PvP mech combat game evolved into something much bigger and polished when a football-inspired side mode captured the team’s imagination. We can’t wait to see everyone jump into the arenas, unleash their favourite heroes, and help shape the future of Superball together with us.”
- Meet Your Champions:
Featuring 17 unique heroes, in three unique positional roles, requiring players to build their squad with the same synergy and distinct playstyle as a competitive hero shooter.
- Goalkeepers – Bulky and resilient, they protect the goal with massive shields and abilities, delivering game-saving blocks or long-distance shots.
- Midfielders – Agile and versatile, they control the tempo of the match, intercepting plays and creating opportunities for their team.
- Forwards – Offensive powerhouses who strike with speed and precision, capable of spectacular finishes that can turn a game in the final seconds.
- Fresh 5-Minute Matches with Crossplay
Each 5-minute match is packed with dynamic gameplay, diverse hero abilities, and combo-driven strategies. Team up with friends and enjoy seamless crossplay on all launch platforms.
- Advanced Teamplay
With assisted passing mechanics, Superball enhances teamwork with quick, fluid passing and smooth collaborative plays. Success in Superball requires more than just raw power; it’s all about mastering your hero’s abilities and working with your teammates to outplay the opposition.
- Game Modes
Beyond standard 3v3 football, Superball offers a variety of exciting modes: Slam Dunk, Dodgeball, Icebreaker and Divine Path. Casual modes that let players experiment with strategies, discover new ways to use their heroes, and keep the action fresh.
Superball actually began life as a mech game before evolving into a sports title with cyberpunk elements. It comes to us from Pathea Games, the team that delivered My Time at Sandrock.
