One of the surprises at Sony's State of Play was The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin from Netmarble. As the title implies, this tale goes right to the beginnings of the popular anime viewed by more than 55 million people. Players step into the role of Tristan, an adventurer caught up in a multiversal crisis that could destroy the world.
Because this is an origin story, players won't need any knowledge of the series to enjoy it. For dedicated fans, it will be a unique expansion of the lore they're already familiar with. Players will collect heroes from the Seven Deadly Sins and Four Knights of the Apocalypse to save the world with their own unique style of combat.
The free-to-play RPG offers a full solo experience, but players can also team up with multiplayer features. Up to five players can join to traverse dungeons, battle world bosses, and explore expansive maps. You'll discover fractured dimensions, alternate timelines, and converging destinies. You'll meet new allies, new enemies, and change the fate of multiple worlds. Here are some of the game's other features:
- Catch wild creatures using magical sealing tools and add them to your collection
- Go fishing in lakes, rivers, and oceans, each with unique species to discover
- Mine and gather resources, from rare ores to magical herbs
- Craft gear, food, and quest items from gathered material
- Glide, swim, and climb to reach hidden locations and puzzle areas
- Solve environmental riddles and unlock secrets tied to the world’s history
The free-to-play RPG is coming Jan. 28, 2026.
