There's no doubt Springtrap's entry into Dead By Daylight is a hit, racking up the highest concurrent player count on Steam in the game's history. But players believe one of his skins makes the Five Nights At Freddy's killer a little too strong.

In his normal, mechanical form, The Animatronic has the loud, clanky metallic footsteps you would expect from a giant, psychotic pizza mascot robot gone wrong. But the Glitchtrap skin represents the digital manifestation of the killer, so it doesn't have the Terminator footsteps.

Thanks to Springtrap's unique killer mechanic, Security Doors, he can already gain the Undetectable status simply by walking through a door. Undetectable removes the killer's aura, terror radius, and the red stain survivors see when a killer is near their player model. Combined with quieter footsteps, Springtrap's jumpscares are coming a little easier than Behaviour Interactive ever planned.

To activate Undetectable status, Springtrap only needs to walk through one of the security doors. This gives him the sneaky status for a full 20 seconds. Making matters worse was a glitch that made him completely invisible after using a door. Thankfully, the game's most recent patch has addressed this issue.

The FNAF killer also carries a fire ax he can throw at survivors with various effects. So once he's close, there are multiple ways he can end a chase quickly. Pro tip that isn't listed in his killer description: once the axe is embedded in a survivor, you can pick them up by the axe handle. William Afton is not known for playing fair.

As I mentioned in my initial story on Springtrap's release, Behaviour specifically didn't want to make The Animatronic a stealth-based killer. But glitches, and the game characters that simulate them, often make mincemeat of what the designers are trying to do with a character.

Springtrap is $4.99, the Glitchtrap skin is 1485 Auric Cells, or roughly $10.
