Tombs of Amascut is the third and most recent raid to be released in Old School RuneScape (OSRS), set in the Kharidian desert. It takes place in the Jaltevas Pyramid, officially the tallest building in the game, at the necropolis, and it requires completion of the challenging Master-level Beneath Cursed Sands quest to participate.

There are four bosses, and a preceding puzzle room for each, before the last encounter. Raids can be done in entry mode, normal mode, or expert mode, based on invocation level, but for the purposes of this article, we are going to be sticking to entry mode without any modifications.

One of the main reasons why Tombs of Amascut is beneficial to do, even for individuals not particularly intrigued by raids, is because of the fact that it awards the Elidinis Thread, which turns the Rune Pouch into a Divine Rune Pouch, expanding it from three to four rune slots. Its drop rate is not affected by the mode, and its drop rate increases each time you don’t get it.

You also get unlimited deaths and pretty much unlimited supplies if you keep dying, so as long as you have solid gear, it’s more a matter of persistence than anything. Having said that, the bosses can still pose a challenge for first timers.

How do the five bosses in the raid stack up against one another? Let’s take a look, with the focus on the bosses themselves, not the preceding puzzle rooms. For the purpose of the Elidinis Thread, these rankings are based on entry mode difficulty.
