Borderlands The Movie isn't getting any love, but will it be the worst movie adapted from a video game? It would have to beat out some classics.

Doom (2005)

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has quite an interesting history in movies after a successful professional wrestling career. He’s touted as one of the most successful actors in the industry, and that’s measured based on the amount of money his films make. But critically, that’s an entirely different story as The Rock has been in some of the worst received movies ever. Doom is one of those entries as it is a horrible film based on a popular first-person shooter.

Doom is an iconic video game series that is getting a resurgence in recent generations. Back in 2005 it wasn’t at its height of popularity, but that didn’t stop Universal Pictures from putting out this horrid movie. It nearly recouped its budget but is remembered for its horrible storytelling and campy action sequences.
