When I first did this quest back in 2007, I rated it as the easiest free-to-play quest in the game. The reason was simple: in terms of the “lazy NPC” quests, this one only required you to gather the exact same item, 20 balls of wool, and that was it. The others all required a variety.

Still, this one requires a different element than some of those others, and for that reason, it’s listed slightly higher. After you shear Farmer Fred’s sheep (be careful not to mess with “The Thing”, which becomes a significant factor in a members quest series), you actually have to spin the wool into balls yourself, provided you didn't just buy them.

Given the fact that this quest’s location is within the kingdom of Misthalin (Lumbridge area), it is likely that this is one of the first quests on your agenda. The Crafting experience reward is helpful too.

Like Doric’s Quest and Witch’s Potion, this quest is no longer a RuneScape 3 quest, but like the latter, it still exists in-game as a miniquest.
