If you’re beginning to sense a trend here, that’s because there is one: Old School RuneScape quests that no longer exist in RuneScape 3 are some of the best quests in the game, and players can be grateful that they made their return when the 2007 servers were launched.

The duo of Stolen Hearts and Diamond in the Rough replaced Prince Ali Rescue just a few months before Old School RuneScape came out and reintroduced it to the community.

Prince Ali of Al Kharid was kidnapped, and you are tasked with breaking him out of the cell where he is being held in Draynor Village. If you can manage to get a guard drunk, copy the key to the cell, tie up the woman behind the scheme, and disguise the prince as her, it might just work.

While the prison break itself may not quite be on par with that of a typical Michael Scofield effort, this quest is definitely one of the more complicated quests in the free-to-play world – and certainly one of the more travel-heavy ones.

The main reward is free entry at the main Al Kharid gate, which was a pretty big deal back in the day. It either saved you 10 coins or a trip way up north to enter the desert from that direction. To this day, this reward saves plenty of goblin lives.
