NHL 25 Cover Athletes make EA Sports history

EA Sports released historic news on the Cover Athlete for NHL 25. Instead of a traditional singular athlete to grace the cover of an EA Sports video game, there will be three this year. Every once in a while, EA Sports will surprise you with dual cover athletes. An example of this can be seen with the NHL 23 Cover Athletes Sarah Nurse and Trevor Zegras. However, EA Sports did something that they have never done before for the NHL franchise.

For the first time ever, the NHL video game franchise will see three hockey players grace the cover of NHL 25. This is something that EA Sports has never done before for the NHL franchise. We have seen more than three cover athletes before on an EA video game cover, but never for NHL. If that news wasn't intriguing enough, EA even took it one step further for something they have never done in EA Sports company's history.

All three cover stars for NHL 25 are brothers. You heard that correctly. For the first time in EA Sports history, siblings will grace the cover of NHL 25, and that honor goes to Jack, Quinn, and Luke Hughes better known as the Hughes brothers.

All three of these brothers are young and have a very bright future ahead of them. Each of them has already made shockwaves throughout the NHL and things are just really getting started for these three with the oldest only being 24 years of age. This is just the tip of the iceberg of history being made by these three siblings in the years to come.

While it is a bit surprising to see three brothers on the cover for the first time ever, it is not surprising that it ended up being the Hughes brothers. EA Sports typically choose younger athletes that represent the future of what is to come in that sport. We have seen Connor McDavid already a cover athlete, Auston Matthews a two-time cover athlete, Trevor Zegras, and even Cale Makar get the cover athlete honor.

EA Sports loves to add young dynamic superstars onto their cover and they followed that trend this year with three young elite players. With the next generation of young superstars starting to make a name for themselves in the NHL, it is always interesting to see which players get the honor each and every year.
