LEGO Mario Kart sets teased alongside three new Super Mario sets

In celebration of Mario Day, March 10 (MAR-10), LEGO hosted a special video that revealed three brand new LEGO Super Mario sets.

The Bowser Express Train is, well, a train that resembles Bowser. The front of the train is the antagonist's face and it comes with a handcar, two stations, a Super Star Block and 6 LEGO Super Mario minifigures (a Hammer Bro, Broom Broom, 2 Goombas and 2 Para-Biddybuds). It's priced at $119.99.

Then there's King Boo's Haunted Mansion, a 932-piece set that features a buildable toy haunted house resembling the mansion of King Boo, leader of the Boos and ghosts and the main antagonist of the Luigi's Mansion series. This set is priced at $74.99.

The third and final set revealed today is Battle with Roy at Peach's Castle. This set lets players explore, battle and roleplay with buildable version of Princess Peach's castle. The set opens out and features easy-to-rebuild walls that collapse under siege. it also comes with 3 LEGO Super Mario minifigures, including, for the first time ever, Roy, along with a Chain Chomp and Toad.

LEGO Mario Kart sets on the way!

While these three new sets are pretty cool, the truly exciting news came at the very end of the presentation. LEGO announced plans to release sets based on Nintendo's Mario Kart franchise!

Unfortunately, nothing was shown, but LEGO did tease these new LEGO Mario Kart sets will be arriving in 2025.

Mario Kart is one of Nintendo's most popular and successful franchises. The kart racing series features characters and courses from the Mario games.
