Dragon's Dogma 2 features a robust character creation system. In the game, you're able to customize the looks of your main character, the Arisen, as well as the looks and inclination of your Main Pawn companion.

Prior to the game's release, people were using the free character customization tool to create some pretty amazing-looking characters.

If you're like me and indecisive with this sort of thing, you may decide at some point in your playthrough that you no longer like the way your Arisen looks. Thankfully, there is a way to change your character's appearance without having to restart the game, but it will cost you.

Dragon's Dogma 2: How to change your character's appearance

Major cities like Vernworth or Bakbattahl are home to makeover shops. These vendors will have a scissor icon to denote their location.

By visiting these shops, you are able to change your hairstyle, makeup, markings and tattoos. But it comes at a cost:

  • Hairstyle - 10,000 gold
  • Makeup - 10,000 gold
  • Markings/tattoos - 10,000 gold
  • Change multiple (i.e. hairstyle, makeup, and markings) - 25,000 gold

The prices are quite steep, so you may want to wait to do this until later in the game once you've collected enough gold.

There is another item you can get that will allow you to change the body type and measurements of your character. It's called the Art of Metamorphosis. It's sold by Pawn Guild vendors in major cities and costs 500 Rift Coins (RC).

How to get Rift Coins

Rift Coins can be obtained by activating Forgotten Riftstones for the first time. You can also get them by defeating certain spectar-type enemies at night, such as Phantoms and Liches. Or you can get them by having another player go on an adventure with your Pawn.

Once you obtain the Art of Metamorphosis, you can return to the barber shop and select the "Modify Appearance" option. You can then select to edit your character or main pawn and change things such as their body type, measurements, muscularity, eyes, lips, etc. The Art of Metamorphosis is a single use item, meaning you'll have to buy another one if you want to change your appearance a second time.
