EA Sports College Football 25 Early Access start time and how to get in
The wait is almost over. EA Sports College Football 25 — the highly anticipated return of EA's college football video game series — is set to release this week on Friday, July 19, 2024.
It's been over 10 years since we last got to play a college football video game, so excitement is understandably high. Thankfully, you don't technically have to wait until Friday to start playing.
As with most games, EA is offering an Early Access period in which you can start playing ahead of the game's actual launch. In this case, EA is offering three-days early access to EA Sports College Football 25. Here are the details!
How to get Early Access for EA Sports College Football 25
In order to start playing EA Sports College Football 25 early, you must pre-order one of the special editions of the game.
The Deluxe Edition, which costs $99.99, is one option. Not only do you get Early Access, but you also receive 4600 College Football Points, an Alma Mater Ultimate Team Pack, a Cover Athlete Ultimate team Pack, and the Bring Glory Home Ultimate Team Uniform Item.
The other option is the MVP Bundle. This is designed for the ultimate football fan who plans on purchasing EA Sports College Football 25 as well as Madden NFL 25. This bundle, priced at $149.99, includes the Deluxe Edition of both of these games, representing a significant savings. Naturally, the three day Early Access period for both games is included.
There is one other way to play EA Sports College Football 25 early and that's through EA Play. Anyone subscribed to the service will get access to the 10 hour trial starting on July 16th. This is access to the full game.
You must pre-order nay of these editions prior to July 18, 2024 to get early access.
When does EA Sports College Football 25 Early Access begin?
There seems to be a bit of confusion around the actual start time for EA Sports College Football 25. The official product listing for the game notes that the 3 Day Early Access period will run from Tuesday, July 16 through Thursday, July 18.
However, EA notes in its disclaimer that the early access period actually beigns on Monday, July 15th at 4:00 p.m. ET. The disclaimer reads:
"For digital pre-orders, Product will be available to download once early access period begins on July 15, 2024 4:00 pm Eastern Time. "
Even the PlayStation Storefront lists EA Sports College Football 25 as unlocking at this time on July 15th. EA hasn't officially posted about the game's global launch on social media, so this is all we have to go by right now.
It's worth noting that this is specifically for digital pre-orders. EA says to consult your retailer for early access distribution details for physical retail copies.
