Some of the best items in Dragon's Dogma 2 are hidden away, and those in Vernworth castle vault are no exception. It's a locked vault that will net you gold and items worth more than 40k Gold, so it's worth your time and effort. It is pretty tricky to get, however, so here's how to get in.

In order to get into the vault, you'll want to head to the Ancient Battleground where the Sphinx was. Get the quest Tolled to Rest from the NPC on the east entrance. You may already have it from the Sphinx quest if you talked to him. The quest will get you the Makeshift vault key, which you'll need to use back in the city.

Back at the castle, simply head through the kitchen, down the hall and through the locked door (vault) using the key to reap the rewards. You'll end up with 20k Gold and items valued at an extra 29,850 Gold for almost 50k gold total. One of these items is a lovely mirror shield to help with Medusa, so you may want to at least hold onto this one.

Make sure you come here during the day because at night you get jacked up on the castle grounds. Oh yeah, enjoy your rewards! Dragon's Dogma 2 is out now on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
