One of the many amazing things about Black Myth Wukong is just how many optional bosses you can find. Even with how the game encourages exploration, so many of these bosses are missable from the sheer size of the game alone. One of the best ones of course is also the hardest to find. This is the Chen Loong secret quest and the secret NPC hub area. Below, I walk you through exactly how to find this and what to do to complete it.

First, you'll need to get to chapter 3 in Black Myth Wukong and head over to the Bitter Lake section and the North Shore of Bitter Lake shrine. Once at the shrine, head down to the left and go behind the giant head. ( You can't miss the head, but you can miss going behind it). You will see Chen Loong way off in the distance. He's easily missed as the water gives the appearance of being non-traversable but you can easily walk through it. You'll need to fight him, and it's a VERY difficult fight at this point. Once beaten, Chen will want a special bone pellet, which you'll be able to get from Xu Dog in chapter 2. In case you forget, this is story related and he's located in the cellar of the crouching tiger temple shrine. You can go there to get the pellet and go back to provide it to Chen Loong.

At this point, you'll get a special scene with a secret scroll. Unrolling it will see your character enter the scroll and head to the secret hub area. Here, all the NPC's in the game are in this one spot. It makes upgrading everything incredibly easy as well as being able to provide seeds you find for materials. However, the most important part is in the back of the area with Yin Tiger the blacksmith.

Yin is the badass character who will be able to upgrade your gear to different levels. You can also challenge him to a fight and he's by far the toughest fight in the game to this point. If you win, you get not coincidentally get the best armor and transformation in the game to this point. You'll be rewarded with the Iron Tough armor set as well as being able to transform into Yin. This is a transformation and not a spirit, so you have lots of time to attack.

The Yin transformation gives you access to his same insane attacks with a range of damn near the entire screen. Albeit a little slow, after a few attacks your heavy gauge will also give you access to the same fire imbued attack of your sword. If you haven't found it yet, this is a huge help with the Chi-bai spear quest also found in chapter 3. Remember, transformations have their own health bar separate from your own. The Yin transformation has a huge power attack that helps with the enemy in this area - spoiler free.

I hope this helps as it's really one of the best ones in the game I've found so far. Let us know how far you've gotten in Black Myth Wukong below!
