Electronic Arts’ Apex Legends is still growing strong since its release in 2019. The free-to-play battle royal features exciting characters with unique abilities, two battle modes, and cool Areas to fight in. This online multiplayer is fun but not perfect. Players report server issues that prevent them from entering the game. Here’s how to check what’s going on with Apex Legend’s servers.

How to Check Apex Legends Server Status

There are many ways players can check if Apex Legends is down. Players often use Downdetector when their connections are shaky. It lets users report problems with a game, whether it’s about the server connection, gameplay, or game website. Downdetector also shows a chart of all game outages in the last 24 hours, a live outage and reported problems map, and a percentage chart showing the most common issues with the game. Apex Legend Status does the same thing, except it also reveals which regions and platforms are having issues.

Servers could be down because of an outage. Players can visit Answers HQ (AHQ), where the EA community shares information about known issues. X is also an excellent place to go for server updates. The EA Help social media account announces game issues and answers questions about all EA games. Follow The official Apex Legends account, which is the best bet for the latest server announcements for the game.

Apex Legends may have issues because of a console problem. EA Help makes it easy for players to check console-specific servers. Players can check any of the following pages for server issues on their platforms:

  • Xbox Live
  • PlayStation Network
  • Nintendo
  • Steam

If everything seems fine with the platform servers, players can do the following to try to fix the issue:

For PlayStation

  • Make sure there’s an active PlayStation Plus subscription.
  • Make sure EA Play for PlayStation membership is still active.
  • Restart the PlayStation Safe Mode.

For Xbox

  • Make sure there’s an active Xbox Live Gold account.
  • Make sure EA Play for Xbox membership is still active.
  • Restart the Xbox.

For PC

  • Make sure there’s an active EA Play for PC membership.
  • Restart the PC.

For Nintendo Switch

  • Make sure there’s an active EA Play for PC membership.
  • Restart the Nintendo Switch.

When Do Apex Legends Servers Usually Go Down?

Like other online games, Apex Legends typically goes down during maintenance. In this case, players can’t enter the game because developers are improving it. You can track official Apex Legends accounts to know when servers go down.
