26 – Cosmog/Cosmoem
Type: Psychic
Cosmog Classification: Nebula Pokemon
Cosmog Pokedex: Its body is gaseous and frail. It slowly grows as it collects dust from the atmosphere. In ages past, it was called the child of the stars. It’s said to be a Pokémon from another world, but no specific details are known.
Cosmoem Classification: Protostar Pokemon
Cosmoem Pokedex: Motionless as if dead, its body is faintly warm to the touch. In the distant past, it was called the cocoon of the stars. There’s something accumulating around the black core within its hard shell. People think this Pokémon may come from another world.
Explanation: Hooray for Nebby and…quieter Nebby! You may note that I didn’t include the final evolutions of Nebby here for reasons that ought to be obvious, but suffice to say they deserve rankings all their own and will receive them later in this list. I like Cosmog for its story significance (and the enormous meme potential of his consistent refusal to climb into Lillie’s duffel bag) but outside of that, Cosmog and Cosmoem are actually a bit on the dull side, especially Cosmoem. They have few surprises and fewer interesting abilities.
