Level 5 is notorious for its game delays, and Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road has been no exception. In fact, it has just honored prizes in a raffle many of its customers probably forgot they won. In 2018, Level 5 raffled off free launch copies of the game then titled Inazuma Eleven Ares. Many delays would happen afterwards.

But if Level 5 has sent out letters to raffle winners, then it must believe that Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road is really, really happening on Nov. 13. This X user was excited, once they remembered their daughter had won this. She was in fourth grade when she won, and is now a sophomore in high school. Hey, at least Level 5 got it to her before graduation!

This game's protagonist, Unmei Sasanami, is "a young boy who yearns for a world without soccer." I'm pretty sure that will change as the story unfolds. You can recruit a whopping 5,400 players in the upcoming RPG. CEO Akihiro Hino said they're working on a system that would allow those players to carry over into potential sequels. Thanks in part to all the delays, this is the first mainline entry in the series in 15 years.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road will release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 on Nov. 13, for real this time. Previous versions announced for iOS and Android have been scrapped. I love me some soccer RPG style action, and I don't get games like that often.
